Happy Thanksgiving Readers! What exactly are you thankful for? Maybe it’s your family and friends or maybe your health. Maybe you’re thankful for your job and the work you’re doing in the community. Maybe you’re just thankful for life itself.
Have you ever spent the time to really think about the things that matters to you or the people who you have in your life? What are some things that you cherish the most?
As writers, it is important to utilize our ability to express ourselves through writing. It is one of the best ways to act out our thoughts and feelings and see how they actually sound on paper. This is sort of like the beginning steps in brainstorming for a book. You start with these crazy ideas for a character or plot, but then you find it hard to compartmentalize everything that you are thinking. At that point, you grab a notebook and start to write down every thought that pops into your head. It’s so important to write everything down and then as time goes on flush out the bad ideas from the good ones.
